Lesson Plan

Every faculty member prepare the lesson plan before commencement of the semester to ensure the timely completion of the syllabus curriculum effectively.

Use of ICT Enabled Tools

Teachers use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in various ways to enhance the teaching and learning process. Classrooms are equipped with computers having internet connectivity, LCD projector, portable voice amplifier and sound system.

Virtual Labs

In certain labs some relevant experiments are conducted online on web browsers with the help of simulators. Such online facilities are called virtual labs (http://www.vlab.co.in/). Virtual laboratories are a new initiative from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, which falls within the purview of the National Mission on Education via Information and Communication Technology.

Interactive Classes:

Course wise tutorial classes are conducted as per the schedule given in the time table, to clear the doubts of students under the guidance of concerned faculty member. Students are made to work out on complex problems in order to understand the subject matter.  Active participation of students in classroom environment is encouraged through group discussions, problem solving exercises and encouraging questionnaire sessions.

Research based Teaching

Research papers are used to teach student about new technologies and research gap that also help the students to gain knowledge of newer and advanced techniques as well to select project for the final terms.

Google Classroom:

Faculty created their own Google classroom where they save vital classroom resources such as lesson plans, notes, videos, and assignments etc. The links are shared with the students and contents can be accessed by the students whenever needed with the click on a mouse.

Project Based Teaching

Project based learning is student centric pedagogy in which students gain deeper knowledge by investigating and responding to complex questions & challenges. Project work is assigned to final year students with the aim of motivating students to learn by working cooperatively in a group to solve a social problem. In addition, the department supports participation in intercollegiate competitions.

Student Chapter/Club Activities:

The department has a professional chapter (IEI Student Chapter) and club which provide a good platform for students to take active part in various competitions, seminars and lectures organized by society.

Goals are to provide students with opportunities for professional development, networking and engagement within their field of study. One faculty advisor is associated with the student chapter for mentoring and guidance.

The activities help the students to showcase their talents in terms of communication skills, teamwork and overall development in professional activities.

Course Based Expert Lectures:

These lectures are organized by department to provide valuable insights, practical experiences, in-depth understanding and recent happenings in the real world. Expert lectures are conducted by professionals who possess specialized knowledge and expertise in a particular field.
